The Truth needs no Proof

We all suffer so deeply. With the steady renewing of my mind daily, my eyes are continually opened. My heart grows ever more tender as compassion takes on new dimensions, bringing me to share this word today..

We say we’ve been hurt by God, but the truth is we’ve been hurt and betrayed by people. This turns us away from God, because let’s face it: we automatically identify God with Goodness, and if we don’t experience much Goodness in our lives, then God simply can’t exist, right? Life jades us with it’s tribulations, and before we know it we curse God in our hearts because this much evil should simply not exist; we secretly think to ourselves in the night when we have nothing left to distract us that if there was a God, He wouldn’t let anything happen to us nor let us feel the pangs of shame, guilt, regret, and fear.

Your hand to hand combat is not with human beings, but with the highest principalities and authorities operating in rebellion under the heavenly realms… they are a powerful class.. of evil spirits that hold this dark world in bondage.” Ephesians 6:12 TPT

I want to invite you to entertain a different pattern of thought with me. No cliche coming. Walk with me…

When I think about the extent of betrayal a person must experience to traumatize them into fear and doubt, I can only begin to imagine the amount of unconditional love it will take to bring them back into trust and faith. Most times, others hurt us. Many a time, we hurt and betray our selves. Search your heart and you’ll know this to be true: shame & guilt arise sharply when conviction happens in your heart, and attacks from the accuser (see Know Thy Enemy The Accuser) become relentless because of what happened to you at the hand of human actions: “you’re worthless” “you can’t be your true self” “you’re unlovable” “you’ve messed up” “no one can love someone like you” “God doesn’t exist”. These are not your own thoughts, rather spiritual attacks from forgetting or not knowing the Truth of yourself to defend against such attacks to weaken your resolve and grip, causing mental torment and thus spiritual death. What is that truth, you wonder? If no one else has told you, then I will:

You are Imago Dei, made in the image and likeness of Elohim. You were thoughtfully, wonderfully, and beautifully made. You are immensely, unconditionally, and irrevocably accepted, embraced, and loved despite the “ugliest”, most shameful parts of yourself that you despise and make every effort to deny and ignore. These aren't airy affirmations to make you feel good or even to deny evil. This is fact woven deep into our bones that the Accuser works day and night to make us believe the opposite of through people who have abandoned God that the enemy works through. to hurt us. They’ve abandoned their conscience, and you experienced injustice. This is bold, so what makes this Truth factual?

The very fact that our entire existence is hinged upon the literal perfect proportions of the planets in our solar system, which dictate our atmosphere and entire ecosystem that grows our food and allows different species of being to exist at once. All these things working together simultaneously stabilizing our very ability to survive and thrive is a 1 in a trillion chance. Search your heart and know this to be true. and if not, ask Google. Nothing is coincidence. So many probes sent into space by NASA and none to come back with signals of life on other stars and planets yet. And even more humbling: that you are not alone in your suffering.

“In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded the knowledge inside every human heart. From the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature has been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence… for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible.” Romans 1:19-20 TPT

“The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some consider slowness. Rather, He is being patient toward you—not wanting anyone to perish, but for all to come to humility of their humanness.” 2 Peter 3:9

Our own and each other’s brokenness is what hurts us: we despise it and wish to ignore it within us all. It’s very existence, however, is why we literally need Jesus. We needed Him to show how to heal what’s been hurt by others, as well as what it looks like to not hurt one another again. Hurt people simply hurt people in their turmoil. We are called to Love another because our strife is what’s caused one another pain in the first place. It is and was a vicious cycle human life has perpetuated since the beginning of human time with no respite or solution in sight, for it just wasn't in us. God expected much of us, but a mortal creation has no clue of the ways of the divine. Into flesh and body He came to feel our pain and still show up in strength, grace, and peace. With a blueprint for peace for our souls, we can conceptualize a world where love is foundational, and thus we all can thrive as opposed to being traumatized and surviving. Biologically, we are flawed. The Good News is, Spiritually, we are saved. Most importantly, we have a duty and obligation to each other to bring one another to the light:

that is, the way and truth that is Christ Jesus.
